When is Dina's name day? What does the name Dina mean - meaning of the name, interpretation, origin, compatibility, characteristics, translation

Your Eminence!
All-honorable fathers, brothers and sisters!

In our country, the list of names that parents choose is very limited - literally two dozen names. There are both positive and negative sides to this phenomenon. The positive thing is the popularity of the greats, and especially the Russian saints.

Many people want to imitate them and therefore give their names to their children. For example, Saint Alexander Nevsky, Saint Sergius of Radonezh, etc. On the other hand, many wonderful great saints have been forgotten, and we hear their names extremely rarely. Even the names of saints who are called Great in the church: such as St. Basil, St. Onuphry, Euthymius, Justin and others. And only in the families of people involved in the church, scientific or cultural environment, who take any kind of creativity seriously, are rare names often observed. It can be assumed that the limited list of names is a legacy of the totalitarian Soviet past, as well as apostasy from God. And hence, as a consequence, ignorance of the life of the great saints.

Since the Orthodox faith came to us from the Greeks, many holy names are not popular in Russia solely because of their sound and, moreover, ignorance of the Greek language, which was not taught at all in ordinary schools for many years. So the names of the holy martyrs Theoteknos, Theopistos, Theopemptos in Russian translation respectively mean: child of God, faithful to God, sent by God, are not popular not because the saints are not like that, but only because of the pronunciation. Ignorance of the Greek tradition also affects when naming names. Sometimes incidents happen. So almost everyone knows that Svetlana is the Russian translation of the name of the martyr Photinia, Bogdan is the name of saints Theodosius or Theodotus.

But the name of the holy martyr Khionia is not always recognized in Snezhana, the martyr Epicharia in Rada, the holy righteous Susanna - in Lilia, the holy martyr Aurea (Aurika) - Chrysia - in Zlata. For the life of the martyr Aurea, see Ch. M., January 30.

And such frequently occurring names of the martyrs Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov would hardly have been popular in their original sound: Pista, Elpida and Agap.

There are names that are not recognized due to translation into another language. This happened with the name of Saint Myrocles of Milan (feast day November 30, Art.), who was the first bishop of the city of Milan after the adoption of the Edict of Milan; it was translated into Russian as Miroslav (http://ru.wikipedia, Website: Saints by alphabet, Catholic website - Life of St. Myrocles, Website: St. John of Shanghai Foundation).

And the holy martyr Inessa (by this name the saint is known in Spain) is none other than the holy martyr Agnia (name options: Anna, Agna, Agnessa) (memory day January 21, see Ch.M. of St. D. Rostov) holy martyr Faina (May 18) (translation of the name - bright, clear) - under the names of Klara (translation of the name into German) and Jasna (Czech version).

Also, due to the translation, the holy martyrs of the third and sixth centuries who bore the name Ursus are not commemorated at all. We know this name translated into Celtic language - Arthur (bear). There are 3 known saints of Ursus (commemorated on July 30, February 1, September 30 of the Old Art., see Ch.M. of St. Dem. of Rostov, in “The Life of St. Vassian of Lodia,” June 10; St. Ursus of Ravenna is mentioned).

As you know, naming occurs on the eighth day. Before the revolution, this in simple families was carried out exclusively by the priest, and often families had, for example, two Marys or two Ivans. And the positive side of this was the variety of names and, as a result, the veneration of many saints. Nowadays it is very rare to hear the names of the holy prophets - Isaiah, Micah, Haggai, etc. Proof that they were popular is the many names of Jonas, Malakhovs, Amosovs, etc. Therefore, people don’t pray to them!

But churchgoers tried at all times to somehow adhere to the rules. Sometimes parents, when giving a name to their child, are completely unaware that it is a shortened version of the name. For example, Tina, a derivative of the names Valentina, Christina, Alevtina. And Polya, Polina is a diminutive of the name of the martyr Pavla, Pavlina - Paulina (in English Pavel sounds like Paul). (Ch. M. February 10) Analogy: Christina - Christina, Polina - Pavlina (in Russian). (Dictionary of English personal names, M. 1973). (Image of the holy martyrs: Victoria, Peacock, etc. on a 7th century mosaic in an ancient church in Ravenna, Italy. See “Chalcedon”) Stella, Estella - Italian pronunciation of the name of the holy Venerable. Eustolia of Constantinople, Ch. M., November 9, Art. Art.

The name Dina may be an abbreviation for the name of the holy righteous Georgian queen Dinara (commemorated June 30, Art. Art., see Menaion. The image of the saint is in the Throne Hall of the Moscow Kremlin). Sometimes, according to the Greek tradition, this is an abbreviation of names with the ending Tina: Alevtina, etc. Tala is an abbreviation for the name of much. Albina of Caesarea, Formia, who suffered from Decius (see Orthodox Encyclopedia). Lada - abbreviation of the name of the holy martyr Palladia (commemorated on May 24, Old Art., Ch. M. St. D. Rostovsky, Life of the martyr Meletius Stratelates), Stasya - Anastasia, Glory - Cleopatra (translation of the name “glory of the father” or abbreviation from pagan name of the Venerable Euphrosyne of Polotsk - Predslava (May 23).

When naming a name, according to ancient regulations, it is not necessary to give the names of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Most Pure Mother Mary; you can take the name of Joshua, and the name Mary in honor of any of the saints glorified by the church.

The day of remembrance of Joshua, as well as the saints: Adam, Noah, Dinah (daughter of Jacob and Leah) and others on the same day. You can often hear in the church shop that these saints are not on the calendar. What then to do with Zipporah? The name of Moses' wife became known thanks to a nun - an ascetic of our time. And when do nuns with such names as Bathsheba (mother of King Solomon) (St. Petersburg Martyrology), Asenath, Deborah (a contemporary nun - icon painter of the Yekaterinburg diocese) celebrate their name days? The name days of all Old Testament saints are celebrated on the week of the Forefather on the last Sunday before the Nativity of Christ.

Unfortunately, it happens that there are saints, but they are not on the calendar. The modern calendar did not include, for example, such saints as the righteous saints: Silvia, Tarsila, and other relatives of St. Gregory the Theologian (memory day March 12, Art. Art., St. D. Rostov). 5 saints in one family! Indirect evidence that they were in the ancient calendar is that in the Borisov Tikhvin Monastery there lived at one time a nun who bore the holy name of Blessed Tarsila, and one of the Vyazemsky princesses named Tarsila is also known in history.

We observe the same thing with the name of Saint Blessed Tarasia (another pronunciation - Teresia (Teresa) - the wife of St. Paulinus of Nolan (Comm. January 23, Ch. M. St. D. Rostov).

Sometimes people who have been baptized in one of the local Orthodox churches, for example in Slovakia or Georgia, come to the church shop. There, parents can give any name that does not correspond to the calendar, but they definitely honor the saint - the patron saint of the family and celebrate the so-called Glory - an analogy to our name days.

The following technique has come to us from the Greek tradition: giving the title of a saint at baptism. For example, Magdalene. Everyone knows that the bearer of the name should celebrate his name day on the day of remembrance of Mary Magdalene, and Chrysostom - on the day of memory of St. John Chrysostom, etc.

But the same thing happened with the name of the holy martyr of Macedonia - Karina. The day of remembrance of this and the holy martyr Sabina - Theodotia (Bogdan, Dana) is celebrated on the day of the holy martyr Pionius - March 11 (Old Art., Ch.M.). Evidence that this name was once popular is the surname Sabinin, and girls were and are called Karin at all times. By analogy: Ellina (translated into Russian as Greek) can celebrate her name day on the day of remembrance of any of the Greek queens, since Ellina means “Greek” example: Greek Queen Pulcheria, Greek Queen Helen). According to the tradition of the Greek Orthodox Church - any name, this is the name of some saint, because in the first centuries of Christianity the blood of Christian martyrs flowed like a river.

An example of this: in the lives of the saints of St. Demetrius of Rostov from September 1 (Old Art.), there is a description of the martyrdom of forty fasting virgins and Ammun, their teacher. We open the Greek “Hagiologion” and see: forty virgins are indicated by name. Here are some names: Dione, Athena, Aphrodite (Venus), Melpomene, etc. (the names of pagan goddesses follow).

It must be said that in the Ch.M. of St. Demetrius sometimes only the number of victims is indicated, but in the Greek ones the saints are called by name.

We open the life of the holy martyr Meletios Stratelates (Ch. M., May 24, Art. Art.), and we see: about 10 people are named who suffered with him, and 1218 nameless people (in the Hagiology the following names are: Palladia, Sosanna (or Susanna - white lily, Sergius, etc.) In the Patericon of Athos there is the name of the venerable martyr Triandaphilus of Esphigmena, translated into Russian - “Rose”, commemorated on October 30. In the Complete Monthly Book of the East there is also such a name - the name of another martyr Triandaphilus of Constantinople, in Greece it is female name ("Agiologion", August 8, Old Art.)

There are many superstitions associated with naming a name. Often (especially in the maternity hospital) you can hear the statement that it is impossible, they say, to give the names of deceased relatives - their fates will repeat, or: in no case should you give the names of holy martyrs, otherwise the child will suffer all his life. Or this: it is necessary to give two names: one church name, known only to loved ones, and the other public name, for everyone. This, they say, protects... This is often found among immigrants from Central Asia. Moreover, both names are in the calendar. For example, the name is George, baptized by Valery or: for everyone Victor, baptized by Sergius. Unfortunately, such superstitions are supported by some priests.

And dubious healers and doctors sometimes send their clients, note, adults who were baptized in childhood, to be baptized again and take a different name, hoping for healing and a change in fate. And this happens...

All these are echoes of our paganism or a product of the recent socialist past, when, along with the Soviet Noyabrins and Communards, believing grandmothers secretly baptized their grandchildren in the church with “human” names and gave them the names of Orthodox saints.

Thus, people with double names appeared again, as at the time of the baptism of Rus'. The Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir, having received the name Vasily in baptism, sanctified his pagan name, and it was included in the calendar. Like many princes, they entered the calendar under double names, for example, Vsevolod-Gabriel or Yaropolk-Peter. And already an echo of those ancient times are the double names of contemporaries: Gradislava-Anastasia (that was the name of one of the daughters of Equal-to-the-Apostles Vladimir), in this case as a tribute to Saint Vladimir. But this is rare.

In church practice, names change during monastic tonsure or when a person being baptized, already having a pagan name, wishes to have a patron saint. From the Bible we know the following examples: Abram (translation: high father) is replaced by Abraham (translation: father of many nations). In this case, the Lord Himself, calling by another name, showed the destiny of Abraham, that he would be the father of many nations. And how Sarah (my mistress) became Sarah (the mistress of the multitude). We see situations when the Lord himself changed his name in the lives of the Great Martyr Panteleimon (Pantoleon “like a lion” became “all-merciful” - Panteleimon). (And we can already testify how this name justified itself), the Great Martyr Procopius (C.M. ., Commemorated July 8) – (Neaniy the “youthful” became the “successful” - Procopius), the successful one - Procopius - the name he received from the Lord Himself. (“You will do great things and bring a great flock to My Father”).

In 2007, on August 21, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church officially approved the celebration of all the saints who have shone in the British Isles and Ireland, as well as the Hungarian and Romanian ones. The memory of these saints will be celebrated on the third Sunday after Pentecost. The Church in the British Isles in the 1st millennium was a single part of the holy, catholic and apostolic church. Thousands of martyrs and confessors are known. These saints of both England and Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and Cornwall were widely known outside their country. As an example of this, the popularity of the name of the holy passion-bearer Edward (Comm. March 31, New Art.). On the Orthodox website “Chalcedon” you can get acquainted with the lives of the saints

Reverend Martyr Alban the British (304),

St. Equal to the Apostles Patrick of Ireland (493),

The Venerable Hilda (680) and many, many others.

At one time, Saint John of Shanghai, San Francisco made a great contribution to the restoration to Orthodoxy of the forgotten saints of the first millennium.

Thanks to a new wave of Russian emigration to Europe, new parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church are opening, and the memory of local Orthodox saints is being restored. The report of Bishop Nathanael (Lvov) on the veneration of African saints dated December 22, 1953 is known. Vladyka served in Tunisia and was faced with the fact of a large number of saints of the first centuries unknown to the Russian Church. The Bishop believed that their due glorification can and should serve the cause of awakening human souls and that, due to the antiquity of the North African Church, no one can doubt that the saints do not belong to the Orthodox Church. In his report, he talks in particular about the Great Martyr Crispina (December 5), who suffered in the 3rd century (the names Despina, Crispina are found in the Georgian Church), and gives a list consisting of several hundred names, among which are: the holy martyr Generosa (Rose ), Vestia (Vesta), Dvonisia (Dionysia), Victoria and many others.

In addition, the Councils of the Holy Martyrs indicate: 4,966 people - October 12, 300 people - October 15, 270 - October 16, 220 - October 30. The names of some of them are in the encyclopedic dictionary “Orthodoxy” in volume 3, M. 1995.

There is a Council of ancient German saints. (Lists are provided on the websites of Russian Orthodox Church churches in Germany). Among them: Saint Oscar (February, 8th century), Venerable Adelheide - Adelaide - Adelia (hence Alice and Adeline and Adele) (March 1015), Equal-to-the-Apostles Rupert (Robert) (May, 8th century), Venerable. Ida, Rev. Verena (Sept.; 4th century), Rev. Irmgard (Irma) (9th century), rev. Roswitha (Rose) – maiden (Sept. 11th century), St. Blessed Henry (Harry) (10th century), Blessed Queen Ingaberg (6th century), St. Adalbert (Albert) of Magdeburg (June 20), Venerable. Radegunda (Rada) of Gaul (6th century), svmch. Ewald Bely and svmch. Ewald the Black (6th century).

Among the ancient French saints, one can remember St. Herman of Auxerre and 4 sisters, his disciples and associates: the venerable sisters Palladia, Camilla (5th century, commemorated March 3), and others (See the Orthodox website “Chalcedon”).

Vitalika (Vita) of Ancyra (August 31), Emma (April 23, 5th-6th century), Regina of Thessaloniki (June 1), 4 martyrs named Victoria (Ephesus May 25, Thessalonica June 1, Nicomedia Oct. 24, Kuluzskaya Dec. 8 .), Martyr of Jerusalem (Ruslana) July 26, mts. Aza, October 21, mts. Martina Dec 31, MC. Aphrodisia, 16 Oct. This is the name of the arch. Sergius of Spassky, December 24) Holy Righteous Queen Nana, October 1. (See Patriarchal calendar 2007)

The listing of all these saints is in no way a call to give children such names. This, first of all, is necessary for prayerful communication, for the restoration of original, ancient names. This is a call not to rush to rename Sylvia (Silva) to Sofia, Inessa to Inna or Nina, and Albert to Alexy, etc., a call not to be afraid of the appearance of new names in our synodics. This is a reminder that other local churches have their own traditions that differ from ours, and that there are a great many saints unknown to us, but known to God, they watch our lives, pray for us and sometimes encourage us, for the sake of prayerful communication, to give children their first look strange names.

All saints, pray to God for us.

The Sretensky Monastery published “Synaxarion: Lives of the Saints of the Orthodox Church” in 6 volumes.

The sonorous female name Dina exists on its own, although many mistakenly believe that it is an abbreviation of another name - Diana. This name arose from the Greek word “dynamis”, meaning “power”, “strength”.

Fine and Characteristics

A rather militant name gives a girl masculine characteristics. We can say that many Deans are mobile, active, decisive, and assertive. In addition, they are prone to intrigue, various adventures, and rash actions. Women with this name tend to do something, and then think about what they did. This approach often brings trouble.

Because of her temperament, Dina strives for some goals all her life, while trying to complete the task in the shortest possible time. Blues and sadness sometimes overcome Dina, but this passes very quickly. Such mood changes can occur several times a day.

Childhood

If we give the meaning of the name Dina for a child, it should be noted that at this age the girl is extremely sweet, cheerful, sociable and emotional. But mood changes are noticeable even in a small child. At the same time, Dina likes to take care of someone, in particular animals. If one of her friends needs help, she will definitely provide it.

In conflict situations, she will not get confused and will stand up for herself, so Dean will not let herself be offended. The environment has a certain condescension towards her, which she takes advantage of. Until she gets older, she will be a little defenseless girl. Childhood for her lasts quite a long time, and this is expressed not only in behavior, lifestyle and character, but even in clothes, which will definitely have flowers, ruffles, bows. She is comfortable in this state, and she is in no hurry to leave her comfort zone.

We can say that a large share of Dina’s naivety has prevailed since childhood, and the rest is feigned, since it is beneficial for her. For this reason, parents should pay attention to this character trait so that the girl does not grow up two-faced in the future.

The character of adult Dina

As she gets older, Dina becomes more strict, but she does not forget about attractiveness and femininity. Emotionality prevails in her so much that to prove the sincerity of her feelings, she can play to the public.

Considering the name Dina and its meaning, it should be noted that in adulthood the girl becomes a convinced maximalist. So she gives up her position as a leader, transferring the leading role to her husband. In marriage, she realizes herself as a good housewife and loving mother. At this stage, the priority becomes the comfort of people close to her. But this is only a favorable outcome of the relationship.

Deans often fall in love and get married early. Also, often their marriage ends in divorce. For this reason, among the representatives of this name you can find single mothers. And the reason is precisely the character, which only gets worse with age. Despite all her good qualities, Dina can be categorical, harsh and caustic, and with her statements offend loved ones.

Sexy portrait of a name (according to Higir)

Dina is an unsurpassed artist in life, but this does not mean she is insincere. She simply identifies herself with the role she plays. Dina gives the impression of a spiritually gifted person, but she is not always so. She does not hide her emotions, craves play and is able to believe in whatever she wants. Giving vent to her emotions, she often goes to extremes.

In bed she is by no means as good an actress as in life, there she is rather passive, aimed at receiving what her partner offers her. She herself never influences the sexual process. She is able to explain herself better in words than in the language of feelings. Dina disappoints men who evaluate her according to the impression she makes: she seems to them to be a hot, excitable and experienced woman. Dina sometimes transfers her mannerisms to the territory of the bedroom, although deep down she craves primitive and rough sex. Dina's misfortune is that her lifestyle and behavior attract the attention of sensitive, sophisticated men, and none of them can give her complete happiness.

“Winter” Dina stands out among other Dina for her determination, courage, and ability to quickly navigate difficult situations. She makes her own choice, but is not inclined to change partners often, since it is difficult for her to adapt to a new man. She is characterized by some adventurism, she strives to know everything, try everything. At the same time, she can be a wonderful wife.

“Autumn” - attract the attention of soft, indecisive men, they see in the “autumn” Dina the ideal woman and after intimacy with her they simply go crazy about her. They love to share their innermost secrets with this woman and expect advice and patronage from her.

By D. and N. Winter

Meaning and origin of the name: "Judgment" (biblical). In the Bible, Dinah was the name of one of the daughters of Jacob (Israel) by Leah.

Energy of the name and character: The name is quite firm, perhaps even there is some severity in it, but at the same time it is quite cautious and is not devoid of noticeable femininity and charm. Usually this entire set of qualities manifests itself in the balance of Dina’s character. She often shows activity, can be persistent, even stubborn, sometimes she can be lively, but most often she still knows the line beyond which she cannot go in conflict situations, and therefore usually knows how to stop in time. Here a lot depends on her environment and the position she occupies, as well as, of course, on her upbringing.

In childhood, most bearers of this name are distinguished by sufficient perseverance and diligence, so that, as a rule, they do not have problems with their studies. And in the future, having chosen a profession for herself, Dina usually advances in her career without significant leaps and failures. She knows how to get along with her superiors, although she can be quite strict and demanding with her subordinates. Often, her penchant for caution makes her a good diplomat, but the fruits of her upbringing can get in her way. It is very good if Dina’s parents were able to maintain her inherent balance, but it also happens that the nervous situation in the family where Dina was raised has a bad effect on her character. Moreover, the more scandals there were in Dina’s life, the further the boundary of her caution moves, often turning her into an overly nervous and excitable creature. In this case, there can be no talk of any diplomacy, except perhaps only in relation to high authorities, and even then for the time being. This can manifest itself especially unfavorably in family life, and if such a disaster has occurred, Dina should not expect understanding from those around her; it is much more logical to pull herself together, then sooner or later both understanding and respect will return.

However, in most cases, Dina remains a fairly calm person who knows how to get along with people. Perhaps in the family she will try to take on the role of leader, but if her husband is distinguished by sufficient nervous strength, then, most likely, Dina will cede primacy to him. In general, her diligence and ability to be collected can make her a good housewife and caring mother.

Secrets of communication: If you happen to communicate with the overly excitable and nervous Dina, try to show her a little human warmth and sympathy, and she will answer you in kind. But if you were unfairly offended by Dina the boss, then it’s better not to argue here, but to calmly explain to her your understanding of justice.

The name's trace in history:

Dina Rubina

The writer Dina Rubina made her debut with her first stories in “Youth” at the age of sixteen, and now her name is known throughout the world - it is included in the Russian Jewish and Great British Encyclopedias. As the author of eight acclaimed books translated into twelve languages, Dina Rubina has been living in Jerusalem, her historical homeland, for several years, answering journalists’ questions with humor about whether she misses Russia.

“It’s always like this for me,” the writer said in one of her interviews, “when there is money - no nostalgia, no money - terrible nostalgia!”

As for work - a sore point for all emigrants, then, according to Dina Rubina, there was a period in her life “when in the morning I sat at some meeting devoted to the relationship of cultures, and in the evening I washed someone’s apartment.” Dina Rubina speaks about herself only with slight irony, exposing funny shortcomings and female weaknesses:

– I have one drawback: poor memory for faces. Once in Jerusalem, I met my husband on the street and thought: “I’ve already seen this man somewhere...” And in general, I am a person who pathologically forgets the past. Maybe, being a toothless old woman, busy endlessly knitting socks, I will remember my younger years with tenderness, but for now I am focused on tomorrow, because it still seems to me that I am still young, which means that tomorrow will be better and better ...

According to Higir

It probably comes from the Greek “dynamis” - strength, power, or the Arabic “div” - faith.

Often a sharp girl, hot-tempered over trifles, Dina causes a lot of trouble for her parents. She is either cheerful and serene, or gloomy and withdrawn. The reason for such drastic changes is Dina’s vulnerable mental makeup, and parents should not forget about this. As a child, Dina loves to take care of someone; it would be nice if you buy her a dog with a good-natured, good-natured character. Selfless, she will come to the aid of anyone who needs it, even if she is not asked for it. But she is also able to stand up for herself; anyone who offends her will not want to do this again.

“Summer” Deans fall in love early and experience the vicissitudes of first love greatly. Maximalists. They adore smart, well-read people; they themselves love to read. They read enthusiastically - from detective stories to culinary recipes. Dina has a good memory and quick reaction; she easily learns driving skills. Sociable.

Dina is unlucky in her first and sometimes in subsequent marriages. Often Dinahs are single mothers. Not the least reason for this is her character, which becomes more and more prickly over time. She becomes stubborn, categorical and harsh in her statements, does not spare authority, and can easily offend. Like a compressed spring, any trifle makes her angry. Dina is hardworking and practical. She knows exactly what is beneficial for her, and will not fail to do just that. Those around her often find her cunning and, it must be admitted, they are not mistaken in their opinion. Dina knows how to adapt. And yet in life, especially in her personal life, she is often unlucky. Dina's fighting character, her directness and toughness scare off men, especially those who dream of a calm marriage with tea parties on Sundays and a wife knitting woolen socks. But in essence, Dina is not a bad person at all and has many purely feminine virtues. She cooks well and is extremely inventive. Guests love her dishes, and when they say goodbye, they always ask for the recipe. Behind Dina’s directness most often there are not mercantile considerations, but a sincere confidence that she is fighting for the truth. Dina, in addition, is selfless in her care for family members, faithful in marriage, and a good worker.

Pavel, Semyon, Lev, Sergey are the most suitable for marriage with Dina. But before marrying Yakov, Ignat, Bogdan, Peter, Anatoly, Dina should carefully weigh everything.

Since childhood, Dinah has been distinguished by patience, perseverance, and diligence. They have no problems in their studies, they study well and get good grades, which pleases their parents. Professionally, he achieves considerable success, always fulfills all the requirements of his boss with precision, and gets along well with the team. She is in no hurry to climb the career ladder; she is satisfied with the state of affairs in which she finds herself. If Dina is the boss, then she professes an authoritarian management style. Her subordinates fear and respect her.

Angel Dina Day

From Latin - divine. In Roman mythology, the goddess of vegetation, obstetrician, personification of the Moon. She received the epithet Trivia - “goddess of three roads” (her image was placed at crossroads), which was also interpreted as a sign of triple power in heaven, earth and underground.

In Diana, emotional mobility is combined with a rare depth of feeling. A certain smoothness, slowness and at the same time firmness are clearly visible in her energy. It must be said that in Russian names the combination of two vowels in a row is not typical and therefore sounds somewhat pretentious. Usually such names are simplified in the popular language - Joseph becomes Joseph, Daniil - Danilo, Tatiana - Tatiana, and Diana, in turn, is often pronounced as Dyana, which is not entirely customary for the solid Russian language. Probably for this reason, the name Diana is much more common in the south of Russia and Ukraine, where the pronunciation is much softer.

Be that as it may, we are more interested in the fact that this name attracts attention quite strongly, its somewhat unusual nature already makes us think about it, and therefore it is not surprising if Diana pays a little more attention to herself than is necessary .

Often she seems to try to observe herself from the outside, evaluate herself, and it is possible that she even admires herself and her beautiful name. In fact, there is nothing wrong with this, not loving yourself means not loving anyone, just everything should be in moderation. On the other hand, excessive self-control often becomes the cause of some constraint in communication, and this is no longer good for relationships with others.
