Turkey meat is quite common among lovers of all kinds of diets. Perhaps one of the most popular dishes made from it are tender steamed cutlets. The recipe is in front of you.

Set of products for making cutlets:

  • a piece of turkey weighing about 500 grams, it is better to take a prepared fillet;
  • one head of onion;
  • 1 egg;
  • pepper, salt to taste.

Step-by-step instructions for the dish “Steamed turkey cutlets in a slow cooker”

First, let's prepare the minced meat. To do this, you need to chop the turkey fillet. This can be done using grandma’s old method using a regular meat grinder, or modern ones using food processors or a blender. So, we twist the meat together with the onions. I couldn’t resist and twisted a clove of garlic along with the onion for flavor.

Then salt, pepper, add seasonings and egg.

And again mix everything thoroughly. You can do this yourself, in any convenient bowl. I beat the minced meat a little. If it turns out watery for you, sometimes this happens to me, then add 1-2 tablespoons of semolina.

Pour warm water into the multicooker, 0.5 liters will be enough, and place a double boiler on top. We turn it on to the “Steam” mode. The water should boil.

We quickly form small cutlets from the kneaded minced meat and place them in a plastic steamer container.

Place the container in the multicooker.

The cooking time for our dish will be approximately 15 minutes. After the set time, a beep will sound, indicating that the cutlets are ready. Despite the lack of fat, they turned out juicy and flavorful. No dryness or blandness.

Immediately place our turkey cutlets on the steam until they cool down and serve the dish. Fresh or steamed vegetables are perfect as a side dish.

By the way, if we are preparing these steamed turkey cutlets in a slow cooker for small children, it is important not to overdo it with the spices. Turkey cutlets (photo) are ready. Bon appetit!

Steamed turkey cutlets

In our family, as in many others, cutlets have always been and remain one of the favorite meat dishes. We cook them in every way: fry, stew, bake in the oven, steam. And we try a variety of ingredients based on the composition of ingredients. Steamed cutlets are certainly healthier than fried ones. After all, they are prepared without oil and are only treated with steam coming from boiling water, which makes them very tender and juicy. Today we had a desire to cook steamed turkey cutlets. To prevent them from turning out dry (turkey meat, as you know, is not particularly tender), add a little lard pork and melted cheese to the minced meat. And instead of the usual piece of bread, we use grated potatoes - this will not only add juiciness to the finished cutlets, but also slightly change their taste for the better. Such turkey cutlets are usually prepared in a double boiler or slow cooker, but since we don’t have such devices in our house, we’ll use a pressure cooker. After all, the principle of operation of these devices is similar.

Ingredients:

  • turkey fillet – 1 kg;
  • pork belly with lard – 300 gr.;
  • processed cheese – 140 gr.;
  • spices (ground pepper, paprika, salt);
  • garlic;
  • onions – 2 small heads (or 1 large);
  • potatoes - 2 small tubers;
  • chicken egg;
  • semolina – 40 gr.;
  • vegetable oil (for lubricating dishes);
  • mayonnaise – 30 gr.

  • For greater juiciness, you can supplement the ingredients with a small piece of butter.
  • Cooking time for steam cutlets is about an hour.

How to cook steamed turkey cutlets:

We wash all the meat very thoroughly, peel and rinse the vegetables. Cut the prepared products into small pieces and grind (preferably twice) in a meat grinder until minced.

Grate the peeled potatoes and melted cheese on a fine grater, add to the cup with the chopped meat, and mix. In principle, the cheese can be processed in a meat grinder along with the rest of the ingredients.

Season the minced meat with spices, add egg, mayonnaise and semolina.

After thoroughly mixing, leave the meat mass alone for about ten minutes, then roll it into small cutlets.

Immediately place the required amount in oiled tiers with pressure cooker holes, which we place on a pan of boiling water.

We’ll put the rest of the cutlets directly on the board into the freezer, that is, we’ll store the finished semi-finished product. There were 23 pieces in total.

With water boiling moderately in a saucepan, steam the turkey cutlets for 30 minutes. Serve still hot with any side dish.
