An exquisite dish that does not require time to prepare is shrimp fried in soy sauce. This dish is prepared in many good restaurants, but it can also be made in your own kitchen to pamper your family and friends. But to make the shrimp juicy and tasty, you need to know a few important points. Otherwise, good products can be ruined.

First you need to choose quality products. Most often, fresh frozen and boiled-frozen seafood is found in supermarkets. Pay attention to the appearance; there should be no dark spots on the shell.

Pay attention to the amount of ice; if the shrimp have frozen into a monolith, and pieces of ice are visible in the bag, then it is better to refrain from purchasing. Most likely, the product was defrosted and then frozen again. And this greatly affects the quality.

You can fry shrimp in the shell or after peeling them. Peeled shellfish are usually used to add to salads, but shrimp in the shell can be served as a main dish, since this method of frying produces a juicier product. If you bought tiger or king prawns, it is better to fry them in the shell; you can peel them after cooking.

Place frozen shrimp in a hot frying pan without defrosting. You need to cook over medium heat, without covering the pan with a lid, so that the liquid can evaporate freely. When the liquid has evaporated, add oil and cook the seafood until cooked.

If you want to defrost the shrimp first, you need to do this gradually. Don't try to speed up the process by using a microwave or submerging a bag of shellfish in hot water. Thawed shrimp can be marinated in soy sauce for a few minutes. But you can add the sauce later.

How much oil should I add? It's a matter of taste. You can only lightly grease the frying pan, then the finished dish will be less high in calories. Or you can deep-fry seafood, it will turn out very beautiful, with a crispy crust.

Frying time for shrimp depends on size. Small ones will be ready in 8 minutes, large ones need to be fried for 10 minutes. King and tiger shrimps in the shell need to be kept on the fire longer - 12-15 minutes. If you bought boiled frozen seafood, then three minutes of frying will be enough.
